This Retzer Nature Center Portraits session is near and dear to my heart. When we took these portraits, my own daughter was about the same age as the youngest little in this family. I loved seeing how this family interacted with each other! We picked Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha as the location because of the diversity of backgrounds for this sweet family. We had a wonderful night exploring the fields of wildflowers and trails through the woods while also capturing their smiling faces.
The sunlight for this session was golden. We lucked out on the weather! It was a warm Fall evening, which helped us wrangle the kiddos for a few portraits. I often get asked by parents how to best prepare their children for photoshoots. Which I completely understand as a parent myself! My best advice is to take a deep breath and relax. Your job as the parent is to get them dressed and to the photoshoot. That is where my job starts! It is my job to worry about where the kiddos are looking when I click my camera. I have many tricks up my sleeve from working with children as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I enjoy working with kiddos and I promise I will be able to capture a few moments of each child, regardless of the photoshoot conditions. So, when you show up to your photoshoot your job is over. All you need to do is smile at the camera!
Enjoy this early Fall Retzer Nature Center Family Portraits Session!
