As a photographer and as a mom, I believe printed photos matter now more than ever. Not because technology is bad. But because memories deserve more than storage. They deserve space. They deserve permanence. They deserve to be seen.
In a world where photos are often taken quickly, shared instantly, and then forgotten just as fast, it’s easy to think of senior photos as something meant for Instagram. But as a Milwaukee senior photographer who works closely with families, I can tell you this with complete certainty: senior photos are about so much more than a social media post.
Milwaukee Art Museum Family Photo Session There are some locations that never fail to feel iconic — and the Milwaukee Art Museum is one of them. Clean lines. Stunning white architecture. The way the structure seems to rise out of Lake Michigan with strength and grace. It is modern, timeless, and uniquely Milwaukee. When this […]
Why I Build Extra Time Into Wedding Timelines (and Why It Matters for Your Photos) Milwaukee Wedding Photographer If there is one thing I’ve learned as a Milwaukee wedding photographer, it’s this: You cannot pause a wedding day. You can’t rewind it.You can’t redo it.And you certainly can’t recreate the in-between moments if there wasn’t […]
First Roots Farm Mke Babbling Babes Tea Party There is something so special about watching little girls twirl through flower fields in their Sunday best — and the First Roots Farm Mke Babbling Babes Tea Party was exactly that kind of magic. On a soft summer evening at First Roots Farm, Milwaukee moms and their […]
If you’ve ever booked Fall Family Photos and immediately thought, “Wait… what are we all going to wear?!” — you are not alone. Outfit planning is, without a doubt, the most stressful part of preparing for family photos. Coordinating mom, dad, and the kids without looking too matchy-matchy can feel overwhelming. Add in unpredictable Wisconsin weather, layering pieces, and color palettes… and suddenly your simple session feels like a full styling production.
I believe wholeheartedly in Full Service Photography because I’ve watched what happens when families move beyond digitals and invest in printed artwork that lives inside their homes. Let’s talk about what that really means.
There is something about the Milwaukee Skyline that feels electric in the spring. The cool blue of Lake Michigan, the clean architectural lines of the city, and the way the light dances off the water — it creates the most stunning backdrop for senior portraits. And this particular session? It was one of those evenings I will not forget.
Seth and Courtney’s Oconomowoc wedding was exactly that — bright blue skies in the morning, warm summer light pouring through windows, and then, just as the afternoon unfolded, dark clouds rolled in and storms followed. And you know what? It was beautiful. As a wedding photographer, I’ve learned that the weather rarely defines a wedding day. The way you respond to it does. And Seth and Courtney embraced every shift in the forecast with joy, flexibility, and complete trust.
A Destination Family Session in Greenville, South Carolina | The Smith Family There is something incredibly special about being invited into a family’s story — and it feels even more meaningful when that story takes me somewhere new. As a Destination Family Photographer, I recently had the honor of photographing the Smith family in Greenville, […]
