What an incredible photoshoot! Jessica and I have known each other for quite a long time. We were in a few sports together growing up and went to high school together. When she contacted me to take pictures of her and her sweet husband, James, for their first year wedding anniversary, I was so honored!
Jessica and James got married in the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic in a small and intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. It was not the wedding that they had planned, but true love prevailed and they did not let the pandemic get in the way of their wedding! After going back and forth on dates and locations, we finally settled on the perfect spot and date. Devils River Campground Waterfalls in the Fall! I had been to this location a few times, but always in the summer. I was jazzed to get to see it in my favorite season, Fall.
James and Jessica were so sweet and were constantly making each other giggle during the session. They trusted me to pose them, even though they could only move their feet a few inches at the top of the waterfall! The water was also very loud and I had to project my voice to pose them while getting the far away landscape photographs. Nobody fell in (thankfully) and no shoes got completely soaked in the making of this blog post. I loved hearing more about Jessica and James love story, and she even has the most amazing story behind her ring and wedding band choice. Enjoy this magical photoshoot!
