MJ and Maggie’s engagement session at Kohler-Andre State Park was a dream to photograph! First of all, Kohler-Andre State Park looks like a location straight out of a Nicholas Sparks book, not a location you expect to see in Wisconsin. The sand dunes and tall grasses mixed with boardwalks and water views give the perfect romantic feel for engagement portraits. This Kohler-Andre Engagement session started out with a more casual outfit so they could get a family portrait with their adorable dogs. Yes, you can ALWAYS bring your pets to sessions with me. I absolutely adore pets! The session ended with a more elegant and classy outfit.

Getting back to their adorable fur babies, Clifford and Winston made guest appearances through their gallery. It is so important to get family photos with your pets prior to the wedding. Especially if they will not be incorporated into the festivities! That way, you can have a “family portrait” on display at your wedding reception. Fur babies deserve a spotlight on the big day as well!

MJ and Maggie are getting married later this month and I cannot wait to capture their special day! When Maggie first reached out to me, I knew we were going to hit it off. She told me her love story, their fur family and told me how important capturing the wedding is to her. Maggie was looking for a photographer to capture the joy and love between her and MJ as well as someone to capture the “Hallmark Christmas” vibes of their day. I was ready to sign up right there and then! I love Christmas time and have always wanted to photograph a Christmas themed wedding. There is something about Christmas that makes our hearts soar. I cannot wait to photograph their cozy, warm Christmas Wedding!
