Fall Waukesha Wedding at Sugar Island Barn

This late September Wedding was a little chilly but that did not dampen any spirits for this couple! Jordan and Mariah were such a fun couple to work with. They are completely head over heals in love with each other and anybody can see that!

They included many personal and cultural touches into their wedding day from years of family tradition. They introduced me to a completely new wedding tradition! This tradition is mainly followed by the Hispanic culture and it involves a twist on the classic unity ceremony performed during a wedding. In this tradition, a lasso is placed over the couple’s shoulders by the officiant or family members and it symbolizes the couple’s everlasting union in the eyes of God. The lasso used during the ceremony was stunning, it was made with crystal beads and had a silver crucifix in the center.

Jordan and Mariah also had a traditional mariachi band play during part of their reception and a churro bar for dessert. Sugar Island Barn sure smelled delicious with the cinnamon scent wafting through the air! It was an incredible experience hearing the mariachi band and watching everyone dance along with the music. Enjoy this stunning wedding gallery!
