A Wildflower-Kissed Lake Country Wedding at Rustic Manor | 

There are some weddings that feel less like events and more like stories—soft, colorful, joy-filled stories you want to step back into again and again. That’s exactly how it felt documenting Kody and Ali’s Rustic Manor celebration here in the heart of Wisconsin. As a Lake Country wedding photographer, I’m lucky to spend many weekends surrounded by beautiful lakes and rolling fields—but Rustic Manor truly shines in a way that’s all its own.

Wildflowers Everywhere You Turn

The moment I pulled up the drive, I knew wildflowers were going to be a main character in this wedding day. They lined the pathways, framed the barn, and swayed in the breeze like they were cheering for the couple. Kody and Ali’s chose this venue because it felt natural and alive, and their entire day reflected that same organic beauty.

We wandered into pockets of color—fields dusted in yellows, purples, and soft whites—and every time they looked at each other, their expressions were more genuine, more radiant than the last. The flowers weren’t just a backdrop; they were the day’s quiet, stunning soundtrack.

Smiles You Can Feel Through the Photos

There’s something magical about photographing a couple who forget you’re even there. Kody and Ali’s smiles were effortless—those real, forehead-touching, eyes-crinkling kind of smiles that say, This is exactly where we’re meant to be.

Between the laughter with their wedding party and the soft quiet moments tucked away in the meadow, their joy was impossibly easy to capture. As a Wisconsin wedding photographer, these are the moments I live for—the ones that slip in between poses and turn into the photos couples treasure most.

A Golden Retriever Loved From Afar

One of my favorite details of the day was actually someone who couldn’t be there. Their beloved Golden retriever, Dolly, had to stay home for the celebration, but her presence was woven into the day in the sweetest ways and the way every guest smiled when her name was mentioned. I swear you could feel the joy she brings to their lives just by hearing them talk about her.
