If you’ve been researching photographers, you may have come across the term Full Service Photographer and wondered what that actually means.
Is it different from regular photography?
Does it cost more?
Why does it matter?
I want to pull back the curtain and explain not only what a Full Service Photographer is — but why I intentionally shifted my entire business model to become one.
Because this change transformed the experience for my clients.
And honestly? It transformed it for me too.

When I first started my business, I followed the traditional “shoot and burn” model.
You would book a session.
I would photograph it.
I would deliver a large online gallery of digital files.
And then… that was it.
No follow-up.
No design help.
No product guidance.
At first, I thought that was what clients wanted — full access to all the digitals so they could print what they needed on their own.
But here’s what I began to notice.
I can see gallery activity on my end. I can see what images are downloaded.
And most families?
They were only downloading 5–10 of their favorites.
Out of 60+ images.
The rest just… sat there.
That realization changed everything for me.

As a wedding photographer, I walk closely with my couples. I photograph their engagement session. I help build their timeline. I guide them through planning. I’m there on one of the most emotional days of their lives.
We build a real relationship.
But with portrait clients under the shoot-and-burn model, I felt disconnected.
I would deliver the gallery and often never hear from them again.
No idea what they printed.
No idea what hung on their walls.
No idea if the images actually made it off their computer.
That didn’t feel meaningful to me.
I didn’t start photography to mass-produce digital files. I started it to preserve legacy.
So I pivoted.

Now, when you work with me as your Full Service Photographer, the process looks very different.
There are intentional touchpoints:
Inquiry Call – We connect personally and talk through your vision and needs.
Design Consult – We plan outfits, locations, and discuss where your images will live in your home.
Photography Session – A relaxed, joyful experience capturing your story.
Reveal & Ordering Appointment – You see your images for the first time in a curated slideshow and choose your favorites for print.
Instead of overwhelming you with a massive gallery, I guide you through selecting the images you truly love.
Then I master retouch your chosen favorites so they are print-ready at the highest quality.
Because printing from an unretouched digital file is not the same as printing a professionally prepared image.

Let’s be honest.
When you receive a large digital gallery, life gets busy. You intend to print them. You really do.
But weeks turn into months.
And months turn into years.
When you work with a Full Service Photographer, printing your images is not an afterthought — it is built into the process.
You walk away with tangible artwork, not a to-do list.

Each product I offer is carefully selected to turn your memories into lasting heirlooms.
Matted prints are timeless and versatile.
They are professionally printed on archival paper and paired with custom mats, ready to frame or store in a keepsake box.
Why clients love them:
Easy to rotate seasonally
Perfect for gifting to grandparents
Ready to frame without additional work
Archival quality that won’t fade
These are not drugstore prints. They are designed to last for generations.

There is something powerful about walking into your home and seeing your family on the walls.
Custom framed wall art is designed specifically for your space. During your design consult, we talk about:
The colors in your home
The size of your walls
The mood you want to create
Your frames are professionally crafted and ready to hang the moment they arrive.
No guessing about size.
No mismatched frames.
No unfinished projects sitting in a closet.
As a Full Service Photographer, my job is to help you create artwork that complements your home and becomes part of your family’s story.

Albums are where your full story lives.
Instead of individual prints scattered throughout your home, an heirloom album preserves the entire narrative of your session — from the big smiles to the quiet in-between moments.
Thick, lay-flat pages.
Archival materials.
Designed intentionally from start to finish.
This is the piece your children will flip through years from now.
The piece you’ll pull out on anniversaries.
The piece that won’t get lost in a cloud.

Becoming a Full Service Photographer was never about increasing prices or making things complicated.
It was about connection.
It was about making sure your images don’t disappear.
It was about serving you beyond the camera.
Now, I get to walk with my portrait clients the same way I walk with my wedding couples — through planning, through emotion, through the final product.
I know what hangs on your walls.
I know what album sits on your coffee table.
I know your children will grow up seeing themselves displayed in their home.
That matters to me.
If you’re deciding between a shoot-and-burn photographer and a Full Service Photographer, ask yourself this:
Do you want digital files?
Or do you want legacy?
Because your story deserves more than a download link.
And I would be honored to help you preserve it the right way. 🤍
